Dental Prosthetics at "Varshavsky" Dental Center

After detailed diagnosis and consultation, the orthopedic dentist proceeds to choose the treatment method. Our dental clinic offers the following teeth restoration options:

  1. Removable Prosthetics. This method of solving the problem is attractive due to its affordability. Removable prosthetics most often help patients with a toothless jaw and those who plan to get implants and non-removable orthopedic devices in the future. Installing an inexpensive prosthesis becomes a temporary solution. At the "Varshavsky" Dental Center in Vinogradar, patients can choose to have:
    • flexible nylon denture. This product surpasses the traditional acrylic prosthesis in terms of its lightness and flexibility. Nylon can withstand significant loads, does not irritate the mucous membrane, does not swell in the mouth, and does not cause allergies.
    • partial denture (clasp denture). The clasp denture has the shape of an arch with a plastic base resembling the gum, on which artificial "teeth" are mounted. Dentists recommend using a clasp denture when several teeth are missing and it is not possible to fix non-removable devices.
  2. Non-Removable Prosthetics. These structures cannot be removed by the patient – the help of a dentist is required. They are more expensive than removable ones, but they are more durable and convenient. Additionally, non-removable prosthetics allow for even distribution of chewing load on the jawbones, preventing their atrophy. The simplest type of non-removable prosthesis is a crown on a tooth. Depending on the degree of destruction of hard tissues, our dentist decides to install one of the types of microprostheses:
    • restorative or ceramic inlay/onlay. An excellent alternative to a regular filling, which is used when the tooth is damaged by 50-70%. Unlike a filling, it does not "shrink" or change color.
    • cultriform inlay. This orthopedic structure is used when the tooth is damaged by more than 70%. The microprosthesis restores both the crown and root parts. The inlay consists of a pin (which is fixed in the tooth canal) and the cultriform part.

    Most often, when a tooth is significantly damaged, protecting it from further destruction can be achieved with a full single prosthesis:

    • tooth crown. This technique is justified in cases of significant damage to the crown part and satisfactory condition of the root. Individual prosthetics are made in a dental laboratory or using 3D modeling. The method of creating prosthetics is determined by their material:
      • metal-ceramic crown. Such a construction has a metal framework and an outer layer made of dental ceramic. Most of our patients choose these prostheses: they are strong and aesthetic, mainly used for installation in the molar area.
      • metal-free ceramic. These individual prosthetics, made of pressed ceramic, are attractive in appearance and hypoallergenic. Due to the relative fragility of the material, they are recommended only for the front teeth.
      • zirconia crown. Safe, aesthetic, strong, and durable products. Constructions of this type can be used for prosthetics in both the molar and frontal areas.

Bridge Prosthetics – an orthopedic structure used when one or several adjacent elements are missing. The edges of the product are crowns (on supporting units), and the middle part consists

FAQ

1. What is better to choose – a filling or an inlay?

It's not possible to give a definitive answer: it depends on the extent of the damaged tissues and the location of the inflammatory focus.

2. If all the masticatory teeth have fallen out and only the front ones remain, can a traditional removable denture be worn?

No, a removable device is only installed in case of complete absence of teeth. If the front teeth are still present, our dentist will recommend installing a clasp denture with clasps or attachments.

3. What type of dental prosthetics is better to choose for complete tooth loss?

A modern reliable solution to the problem is implantation. Technologies allow restoring a toothless jaw without resorting to a traditional delayed load operation. If there are no contraindications, new teeth can be obtained almost immediately after implant placement.

4. How to care for veneers?

You won't have to do anything special: you need to regularly clean your teeth, use mouthwash, and dental floss. Just avoid rapid temperature changes in food and drinks and do not consume overly hard foods.

How to Prevent Dental Prosthetics

Preventing the need for dental prosthetics involves regular oral care. Simple daily actions can help prevent many diseases and thus preserve your teeth.

It is recommended to visit the dentist for preventive check-ups at least once every 6 months. Professional teeth cleaning should also be done with the same frequency.

An unscheduled visit to the dentist is necessary when experiencing unpleasant symptoms such as:

  • increased sensitivity of teeth to cold and hot;
  • redness, bleeding gums;
  • unpleasant breath odor (if not related to other conditions);
  • periodic toothache.

Our clinic's dentists provide assistance to both adults and children. We offer help not only for planned visits, but also for patients with acute pain. Do not endure pain and do not ignore the problem until it leads to tooth loss and other unpleasant consequences – contact "Varshavsky" Dental Center.
